Richard Henry Folmar, 60, died peacefully Monday, March 6, 2017 at Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born in Savannah and lived there for most of his life. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marge.
Surviving are his sisters, Annette Rosengren (Steven), Vera Hathaway (Thomas), Catherine Inglesby (Tom), Dianne Edwards; brothers, Robert Folmar and David Folmar, and many nieces and nephews.
Ricky was born with severe Down’s Syndrome and led a happy life. Our little brother who never grew up will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Gateway for the special care shown to Ricky.
A private graveside will be held in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in Isaiah 26:19 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
